PRESCOTT – It was coffee time at the Springs of Hillcrest Nursing Home Tuesday morning.

Those attending were required to wear masks as the Covid-19 protocols are still in place at the nursing home. Ginger Turner welcomed everyone, saying it’s been a long time since the home held a coffee, and is now trying to get back to normal. A blood drive was held after the coffee. The coffee was sponsored by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce.

Turner, facility administrator, said they offer in and out patient therapy, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, along with respit care and being a long-term care center. “We’re doing the coffee to celebrate getting back to normal.” She added the home is involved in a contest with other Springs facilities across the state with the winner getting a party for the staff. By going to the Springs of Hillcrest facebook page, visitors can like, comment or share, with the more doing this increasing the odds of Hillcrest winning. The segment has a short video.

According to Turner, there are 21 Springs facilities in the state with more being added.
