By Jennifer Block/SWAAC, 06/2/22 5:27 PM

Hope, Ark. – The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council announces their 2022-2023 Membership Drive.

Life is sometimes hard. Things go wrong, in life and in love and in business and in friendship and in health and in all other ways that life can go wrong. And when things get tough, this is what you should do. Make good art” ~Neil Gaiman.

Sometimes, the only plan is to simply plan for something good. Though, our last

few years have been confined to the world of uncertainty, SWAAC has focused

efforts to bring as much good to our community as possible. As our membership drive begins for the upcoming year, SWAAC is committed to Creating a Beautiful Future, one event at a time.

Membership dollars are the key successful factor in SWAAC programs. Support from members helps to increase not only the creative experiences of our community, but it also lends to bolstering our creative economy. SWAAC is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that relies upon tax deductible memberships to achieve our goals and fulfill our mission. Membership dollars not only support our mission, activities, and events, but also enable us to pursue various state and federal matching grants.

A new part of this year’s Membership Drive is the enhanced membership benefits. Jennifer Block, SWAAC’s Executive Director states that “the board and I felt that we needed to include ways to give back to membership for supporting the organization”. Among the new benefits are SWAAC t-shirts at every level and selling artwork through SWAAC’s gallery.

To thank all current members and get to know those considering joining, SWAAC will be having a Membership Party on Thursday, June 16th. The Party will be located at 401 East 17th Street in Hope beginning at 6pm.

Please take a moment to consider an Arts Council membership. Becoming a member is easy as visiting SWAAC’s website, swa-artscouncil.squarespace.com/membership-1.
