Shelia Blalock

Shelia Marie Blalock was born October 12th, 1956 to Mary Winona Stephens and Clarence Jake Woods Sr. in Saint Louis, Missouri. One of ten children, she was destined to have a large
and loving family. She was a devoted daughter, sister and a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Throughout her life she was the ultimate caregiver for her
family, loved ones and in her role as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, always putting others’ needs above her own. Unwilling to be beholden to limitations placed on her, she was a warrior–the
strongest and bravest– who in the face of grief and hardship rose above, radiating love and joy.

She was a lover of nature, an avid reader and a woman of faith. She is survived by her loving husband, Lorenza Blalock, children Freddie Wayne Parks Jr., Daniel Patrick Parks and
daughter-in law Shasta Bedard, Kindell Deshae Woods, Raven Dawn Patton and son-in-law Nathan Wade Patton and Chelsea Jenette Blalock, her nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers Jake and Edward Woods, sisters Nora Webber, Mary Lansdell, Geneva Dalhover, Eva Wood, and their spouses and 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Woods Sr, Mary and Thomas Billingsley, grandmother Bertha Stephens, brothers John Woods, Dickey Woods, sister Virginia Woods and son James Lewis Smith who she has gone to be reunited with. We love you and lift you up.

Memorial service will be 4:00pm at Union Missionary Grove at 4:00pm on Saturday July 2, 2022, with Bro. Ed Woods officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie Brazzel Director. Online condolences: www.brazzelfuenralhomes.com
