George “Dennis” Green, age 66, of Fulton, Arkansas was born on September 19, 1955 to Mattie Akin & James Penny Green in Hope, AR and passed away on July 9, 2022 in Hope, AR.

Dennis is proceeded in death by his parents, siblings Mike Green and Rita Green Galbreath, and great-granddaughter Scarlett Biddle.

Dennis’s memory is left to be cherished by his son Chris Green & beloved bonus daughter Shanne Mock of Hope, AR; son Eric Green of Hope, AR; daughter Savannah Green Reid (Dan) of Crestview, FL; and daughter Shelby Green Dill (Toad) of Madison, AL; grandchildren Danielle Green of Fulton, AR; Brian Green (Sarah) of Hope, AR; Noah Green, Camden Green, Remy Dill, Eddison Reid, and Emmett Reid; great-grandchildren Aiden Biddle and Gunnar Green; brother David Green of Fulton, AR; sister-in-law Donna Green; nieces Gina Clarke, Penny Parks, Devon Butler, Mattie Sterbach, Julia Green; nephew Aaron Green; lifelong friends Belinda Hall and Sue Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

“Den” as he goes by to his closest friends and family, was known for being the life of the party and a free spirit with a “larger than life” outlook. He was a man of many interests and spent his life in many different careers; he received his high-school diploma in 1973 then attended Red River Vocational Technical School, and went on to the Camden Police Academy. He is known best for his work as a truck driver, police officer, funeral home worker, and EMT. He never stayed in one place for long and lived in several different cities throughout his life but eventually came back home to Fulton and settled down in his fifties. He was well-known for his motorcycle, tattoos, very distinct voice, ability to talk to anyone about anything, and keep everyone on their toes; you’d never know what Dennis was doing, but for the last decade of his life, you’d usually find him driving around Fulton, hanging out with his best friend Rob Hullender, watching trains go over the river, or gossiping at the truck stop. He was always willing to share a beer with whomever and could talk on the phone for hours. He was a man of many words and was a natural comedian; you’d never know what was going to come out of his mouth but there was no doubt he was going to keep everyone in the room laughing. He loved to gossip and he loved to complain, almost as much as he loved homemade grilled hamburgers, red velvet cake, and old black and white movies. Dennis never failed to live his life to the fullest. All that knew Dennis, loved Dennis, and Dennis didn’t know a stranger.

Dennis spent the last two years of his life living at Hope Haven Assisted Living home and made many special friends that became family along the way. He was a social butterfly and ladies man, and kept all of his friends and the staff entertained daily. The family would like to extend a deep thank you to a very special nurse and person to Dennis, Stephane Clark; as well as, the nursing staff of Dierksen Hospice and the staff of Hope Haven, for taking such good care of Dennis in his final weeks.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 5-7 pm at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, 1001 South Main St., Hope, Arkansas 71801.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10 am at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, 1001 South Main St., Hope, Arkansas 71801 with Judge Jerry Crane and retired Arkansas police officer Steve Glover officiating then a burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery (2901 Highway 67 W in Hope, AR 71801).
