Earnest “Raymon” Ray

Earnest “Raymon” Ray, 77, of Gurdon passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Raymon was born September 3, 1945 to Earnest Calvin Ray and Avernell Allen Ray in Sparkman, AR. Raymon graduated from Arkadelphia HighSchool and attended Henderson State University. He was in the Army Reserve and attended Evergreen Church. Raymon retired as an electrician at Alcoa Metlas Inc.

Raymon is preceded by his parents; daughter, Darinda Ray; and sister, Glenda Ray Whisenhunt.

Raymon is survived by two daughters, Angela (Rusty) Ledbetter of Gurdon and Laura (Jason) McDonald of Benton; two stepdaughters, Tonya Whatley and Melissa Freeman; brother, James (Patsy) Ray of Redfield; grandchildren, Dylan (Aleah) Fallin, Hayley Johnson, Macy Johnson, Jacob and Hannah Ledbetter, Rachel and Evan Mount; step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Trippett, Lauren Trippett, Jarrett Hellums; great-grandchildren, Levi Ray Fallin and Elijah Fallin; seven nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled 2:00-4:00pm Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Gurdon.

Graveside Service to follow at 5:00pm at Bethlehem Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Sims officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
