ROC Hosts Chamber Coffee

By Scott Jester/ROC, 09/22/22 6:02 AM

There was a terrific turnout recently at the Hope/Hempstead Community Coffee hosted by ROC Adult Components. First there was a great group from ROC who came and set up the event held at the Chamber Office at Main and Second in downtown Hope. Also present was a special visit by “Martha Washington”, who represents the area DAR organization, dressed in a handmade costume while answering many questions and posing for photos. There was a turnout by several members of theROC King Pins and Strike Kings Special Olympics bowling team as they wore their bowling jerseys to the affair and visited with many business members from our community.  Several tables were arranged perfectly with savory home-cooked breakfast/brunch treats. The famous ROC homemade punch and coffee, plus a colorful centerpiece donated by Hope Floral greeted visitors next, with fruit and veggies and sweets rounding out the fare. Overall, it was a great morning of networking with our fine neighbors in the community and an opportunity for everyone to fellowship around some delicious treats. Special thanks to Chamber of Commerce Director Christy Burns and her very capable assistant, Trevor, for their graciousness and help in making the event possible.
