PRESCOTT – The First Annual OYEA Banquet will be held on October 25th at 5:00pm in the Prescott Junior High Cafeteria.

Tickets are $25 each and are available at the Chamber of Commerce office or by calling 870-602-1777.  A full meal will be served, with entertainment and recognition of students’ achievements. Students participating in showing of livestock at the county, district, and state fairs have worked very hard over the past six months and we would like to invite you to help us show how much we appreciate their efforts.

OYEA, the Organization for Youth Education in Agriculture, is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to support the Prescott School District’s animal science program.  All donations are tax deductible and are used for the care and feeding of our livestock.

Our goal is to raise enough fund to purchase a pig/sheep trailer to be used to transport our animals to livestock competitions. To help us meet this goal we will hold a couple of raffles with prizes of a picnic table, a porch swing, a $250 Walmart gift card, a deer feeder with corn, a cooler filled with snacks and a gas card, two ½ processed hogs, two packages of assorted beef steaks (valued at 250.00 each). It is going to be a night of fun and celebration. We will also have our OYEA Whole Hog Sausage products for sale.

The OYEA Banquet sponsors are ExpressRx, Farm Credit, Bank of Delight. And Farmers Bank.
