Mr. Ralph Harvey James, 71, of Gillham

Mr. Ralph Harvey James, age 71, resident of Gillham, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at his home.

 

Ralph was the oldest of two children born to Robert Homer and Anna Lee Lewis James on June 16, 1951, in Warrensburg, Missouri. He was a 1969 graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, Missouri, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Missouri, graduating in 1973. Ralph faithfully served with the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He married the love of his life, Theresa Marie “Terrie” Schnabel, on October 20, 1979, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and to this union, two sons were born. Ralph retired as a Systems Engineer for Rockwell-Collins in 2017, following a career in defense contracting and aviation electronics. Ralph was a woodsman enjoyed deer watching, hunting, gardening, and nature. He best spent his time with Terrie, their sons, his family, and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert James.

 

Ralph leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of almost forty-three years, Terrie James of Gillham, Arkansas; two sons, Robert James of St. Louis, Missouri, and Randal James of Cushing, Oklahoma; his grand-dog, Guss; his mother, Anna Lee James of Hope, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Delores Ann and Daniel Hinkle of Sugarland, Texas; as well as aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
