Local education grant recipients announced

LITTLE ROCK – The Division of Career and Technical Education (DCTE) has announced the recipients of Perkins Innovation Grants and Non-Traditional Grants.

Innovation and Non-Traditional Grant applications were scored on their ability to foster innovation through the identification and promotion of promising and proven career and technical education programs, practices, and strategies. Which may include programs, practices, and strategies that prepare individuals for nontraditional fields in career pathways aligned with high-skill, high-wage, or in-demand occupations.

Local recipients of the 2022-2023 Perkins Innovation Grants include:

Hope High School–L3 Driving Simulators–$72,232.46

Prescott High School–L3 Driving Simulators–$72,314.80

De Queen/Mena, Southcentral, Southwest Education Cooperative–Special Populations Career Prep Events–$4200 and Girl Power to the Max!–$145,300

Local recipients of the 2022-2023 Non-Traditional Grants include:
