Lieutenant Colonel Anderson Neal, Jr. (ret.) to Speak At Hempstead Hall Veterans Day Service
Lieutenant Colonel Anderson Neal, Jr. (ret.) will be the special guest speaker for the Veterans Day program at Hempstead Hall Friday. Lt. Col. Neal currently serves as State Diversity Officer for the Arkansas National Guar, Joint Force Headquarters, Camp J.T. Robinson, North Little Rock. Lt. Col. Neal has over 29 years of service in the Arkansas Air National Guard
A native of Fitzhugh, Arkansas, Lt. Col. Neal is a 1974 graduate of August High School. A graduate of Arkansas State in Jonesboro, he spent 37 years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The program is sponsored by the Hope Civic Clubs. Daniel Bramlett will bring the Invocation, Scout Troop 5 will present the colors and lead the pledge. Arnetta Bradford will bring the National Anthem. Following these opening ceremonies, a catfish lunch will be served prepared by the Lions Club. Following lunch the program includes recognition of the “Gold Star” families, remarks by Lt. Col. Neal, and “Taps” delivered by the Hope Band Directors.
Lunch will be free for veterans and their spouses. Those attending the Veterans Day program at the old courthouse are invited to come to Hempstead Hall at the completion of that service.
