Hempstead County Extension To Offer Private Pesticide Training Classes
Agricultural producers who need to obtain or renew a private pesticide applicator’s license for purchasing restricted use products may attend one of the upcoming trainings:

Training dates:
• Monday, Nov. 28th – 6 p.m.; U of A SWREC – 362 Highway 174 N., Hope
• Friday, Jan. 27th – 10 a.m.; U of A SWREC – 362 Highway 174 N., Hope
• Tuesday, March 14th – 6 p.m.; Location TBD
• Thursday, May 11th – 10 a.m..; Location TBD
 
The cost of the training is $20, payable by cash or check at the time of training (license fee is paid separately to AR Dept. of Ag). Please call the Hempstead County Extension office to reserve your spot: (870) 777-5771. In the event of unforeseen rescheduling, and for to be determined locations, you will be notified via phone call or text. This training is always available online as well at uaex.uada.edu/PAT.
 
Homeowners do not need a license to purchase general use products labeled for home lawn, trees, or gardens.
