ROSSTON – It’s homecoming time for the Nevada Bluejays. A coffee was held in the Nevada School Library Wednesday morning to introduce the queen and her court.
The homecoming court will be presented to the students during the pep rally Thursday morning at 9:30, and the official coronation will be at 5 p.m. Friday before the first game.
This year’s homecoming court is made up of:
7th Grade – Gracie Hunt and Addie Ridling;
8th Grade – Zette Brown and Carlee Clark;
9th Grade – A’Yani Dismuke and A’maria Haynie;
10th Grade – Leymy Contreras and Jillian Pinner;
11th Grade – Jaina Murphy and Aerilynn Tolar; and
Senior Maids: Shondrika Blakely, Lily Hampton, Kennedy Messer and Tyneshia Young. The 2022-23 queen is Nakia Prater.
The princess is A’mina Blakely, with the crownbearer, Tripp Burns.
