James Henry Coleman
Born July 29, 1944, in Pike County, Arkansas to Lawrence Howard and Ella Evelyn Short Coleman.
He died February 22, 2023, at his home in Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas.
He loved his God, his Al and his family. He always put them and everyone else before himself.
He loved to run the roads, especially to New Mexico and Arizona. He was always ready to pack a picnic lunch and carry Alice sight-seeing and searching for ancestors.
Preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Jessie Derrel, and sister Maudean.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary Alice Fulton Coleman, sons: Jimmy (Nicole) Coleman of Ohio, John (Bobbie) Coleman of Prescott, Arkansas, daughters: Cynthia (Gene) McMahen of Hope Arkansas, Mary (Doug) Storey of Hope, Arkansas.
Grandchildren: Kahla McMahen, of Hope, Arkansas, Kurtis Blake McMahen, in Heaven with God, Torri (Mont) Williams, of Ohio, Jordan Coleman of Indiana, Jesse Coleman of Ohio, Coleman Storey of Hope, Arkansas. Great grandchildren: Blake Wyatt, Jaxson, and Greyson.
Brother: Verlin Coleman, sisters: Jeanette Myrick, Shirley (R.J.) Trevillion, Barbara (Vic) Phillips, all of McCaskill, Arkansas.
Many nieces, nephews, and a ton of treasured friends. He was known, respected, and loved by all.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm-2:00pm Monday, February 27, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. Graveside services to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Larry Brown officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
