John Franklin Reyenga

John Franklin Reyenga, age 92, of Laneburg, Arkansas passed away on March 9, 2023 in a local nursing home.

Mr. Reyenga was born on February 25, 1931 in Emmet, Arkansas to his parents Tjerd and Mamie Reyenga. He was a faithful Christian, avid gardener, and a member of Morris Baptist Church. He loved baseball, fishing, dominos (shoot the moon), and inventing. John was also a huge fan of both the Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas Rangers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Ruth Reyenga; one granddaughter, Sarah Bailey; four brothers, and three sisters.

Left to cherish his memory is one son, David Reyenga (Pam) of Hope, Arkansas; two daughters, Nancy Bailey (Wyndell) of Hope, Arkansas, Paula Lindsey (Bill) of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren, Tiffany Moore, Caleb Reyenga, Amy Miller, Kim Starkey, Daniel Starkey, Heath Starkey, William Curtis Bailey, Clint Bailey, Karen Mason, Adrienne Zimmerman; seventeen great grandchildren; and one brother, Sebron Reyenga.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Hope.

Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Hope with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial will follow at Snell Cemetery in Emmet, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
