Blast had at Bingo

EMMET – It was Bingo time in Emmet Saturday.

Residents gathered in the storm shelter to have fun playing Bingo, as well as hoping to win prizes. There was a swap shop where people could purchase or trade items. Most of the items on sale were ladies jewelry, but there was also a Rada dealer and candy for sale. Tickets for a 50-50 drawing went fast with the winner taking home a cool $2,000.

However, most were there for the Bingo games. Boards cost $5 each, but players could use them all day. For the most part things went smoothly, but there was one mishap when the spinner holding the balls opened prematurely, spilling the balls all over the place. Once the balls were collected the games resumed.

The event was put on by the Emmet Vision Association, with the money raised going toward this year’s Fourth of July event.
