HOPE – Horticulture Field Day will be June 28 at the Southwest Research and Extension Center in Hope.
The day begins with registration from 8:15-8:5o a.m., followed by the welcome from 8:50-9 a.m.
Visitors will head outside from 9-10 o’clock for the seminar on vegetables and blackberries, followed by a talk on peaches from 10-10:30. From 10:30-11:30 the topic will be turf plots and high tunnel projects. Inside at the same time, there will be recipe demonstration and tasting of fresh fruits. From 11:30-noon, the topic ill be watermelon and cantaloupe variety trials. Lunch will be from noon until 12:45 p.m. The session will end from 12:45-1:45 with the subject grafting ornamentals.
