Multiple Accidents Snarl I-30 Westbound Monday Afternoon

Two separate accidents Monday combined to snarl traffic on I-30 westbound.  Originally a single car accident near mile marker 25 was the cause of concern about 2:15pm.  Not long afterwards an 18 wheeler turned over in front of the weight scales on I-30 requiring traffic to be routed through the weight station.  This meant traffic, once moving, could only go about 5 to 10 miles per hour.  I-30 westbound was still backed up east of Hope two hours later.  Multiple law enforcement and fire departments responded as did Pafford.  It’s not known how many were transported for medical service but there were calls for a medical helicoptor.
