Civitan Club Hears From Hope Author

The Hope Civitan Club was recently entertained and inspired by Jennifer Gentry of Hope, who has authored and illustrated her first book for children and their parents.  Shoes On was inspired by the author’s own “mom” experience in getting a child ready to go out.  An occupational therapy assistant who works in Hope Public Schools, Gentry also presented an impressive theory of how to help children become life-long readers.  Shoes On is available at jennifergentrybooks.com and as an ebook from Amazon.  Gentry is pictured with Amber Mackey, immediate past president of the Hope Civitan Club, which meets the second and fourth Tuesday each month at 6 p.m. at Dos Loco Gringos Mexican Restaurant.
