WASHINGTON — Historic Washington State Park announces the annual summer concert series Music in the Park with the theme “Music of Entertainment”. Free concerts will be held in June, July, and August on the 1874 Courthouse lawn.

Music has been a favorite form of leisure and entertainment for many people for time immemorial. Residents of Washington in the 19th century enjoyed performing and listening to a variety of musical types from piano solos and marching bands. Join the community as they did in the past to enjoy evenings of great musical entertainment at Historic Washington State Park.

On Saturday, August 19, Zirconium Quartet will be the final performance for the summer. The group is an award-winning, vocal male quartet from the Little Rock area. Music and entertainment are their forte and they are a perfect fit for this year’s lineup. Barbershop quartets were a form of entertainment that began in the late 19th century.  Learn more at: https://www.facebook.com/zirconiumquartet.
