McRoy named Fair Queen

PRESCOTT – It was a full day of pageants Saturday at the Nevada County Fair.

The Potlatch Building was full all day with pageants starting at 10:30 and lasting most of the day. A break was taken at 2:30 p.m. to interview the junior and miss contestants. The festivities started again at 5 with the remaining categories seeing queens named.

First up was the infant division with Jaelyn Burton taking best dressed, most photogenic and the Infant Miss title. BriElle Munn was the first runner up, with Nor’Monie Brandon the second runner up. Baby Miss was next with Zoie Hicks taking the crown, along with best dressed and most photogenic. Jai’Loni Moss was the first runner up. Next came the toddler division with Mylee Adams getting crowned, and being named most photogenic. Ja’Live Glass was named best dressed and first runner up.

Tiny Miss was the fourth group, with Maggie Beth Wright being named best dressed, most photogenic and taking the title. Little Miss was the fifth category with Aliza Thompson named winner and best dressed. Maddux Palmore was tabbed most photogenic and second runner up. Amaya Burton was first runner up.

Kalli Lewis was named Petite Miss, with Jordan Burton first runner up, best dressed and most photogenic. Young Miss followed with Kinsleigh Lester named the first runner up and best dressed. The winner was Mari Wren, who was also most photogenic. Pre-teen was next with Claire Laughard taking the crown, Addie Riddling was first runner up, best dressed and most photogenic. In the Junior Miss division, R’Moni Jamerson was the winner, and took the interview portion. Bennu Babbacan was first runner up and best dressed, with Dacey Faulkner most photogenic and second runner up.

The final category saw Melelina McRoy going home with the crown, along with winning the interview portion, best dressed and spirit of the pageant. Kennedy McKillian was named most photogenic and first runner up. Janae Smith was tabbed Miss Congeniality.
