Virginia Stevenson

Virginia C. Fuller Stevenson, a/k/a “Mam” to all who knew her, age 94, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away September 18, 2023, at her home surrounded by her children. Virginia was born April 24, 1929, in Dewitt, Arkansas to George L. Fuller and Maibelle Cullipher. Maibelle passed away from child birth after a few days. Virginia’s father raised her by himself until she was five years old. He then married Sara McAdams who helped him raise his daughter.
Virginia retired from Shanhouse and Sons after many years to care for her grandchildren in her home, along with three other children, which were all a joy to her!
Virginia was of baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, her children’s father, Walter Wesley Stevenson, Jr., brother, Don L. Fuller, sister, Sue Fuller Sanders (Don) and son-in- law, Ken McMahen.
Virginia is survived by her four children; daughter, Donna Watkins (Jack), Sandra Watkins (Bo), Kay McMahen and son, David Stevenson (Julie). Grandchildren: Clint Watkins (Suzanne), Christy Watkins, Wesley Watkins (Whitney), Clayton McMahen (Jamie). Great grandchildren: Ty Watkins, Ana Marie Watkins, Wrenley Watkins, Wrylee Watkins, Emma McMahen, Lyla McMahen and Lane McMahen. Sister-in-law, Mary Fuller, nephew, Billy Fuller, niece, Laura Floyd.
We would like to thank Dierksen Hospice and special thank you to Crystal, Paige and Alexis for their loving care. Special thanks to Mary and India with Gentiva Hospice for the love and care they showed our mother.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel. Funeral service is at 2:00 pm in the Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. Nick Flowers officiating. Burial follow at Memory Gardens cemetery in Hope, Arkansas.
