Ava Brooks

Ava Nell Brooks went to her heavenly home peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 14th, at her residence in Blevins, Arkansas.

Born to Austin Stone and Lilly (Jester) Stone in McCaskill, Arkansas on December 10th, 1934. She was a member of Bells Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Blevins, Arkansas.
Ava was lovingly known to family and friends as Tater, her nickname given to her by her husband, Dale. She married Dale on December 29th, 1955. They were happily married for 47
years until his death in 2003. Ava worked very hard outside her home at various egg processing farms around Blevins, but her favorite job was being a homemaker, mother and mawmaw. She always supported her son, daughter and grandsons in whatever they were involved in. She loved watching her son at the dirt tracks and never missed a race. She cheered her grandsons on at their baseball games and enjoyed fishing with them every chance she got. She enjoyed just being with her family and always cooked Sunday lunch for them making precious memories to cherish.
She enjoyed listening to country music, loved Elvis, shopping and was an amazing cook. Her passion for shopping was evident as she received many compliments for always looking her
best.

Ava was proceeded in death by her parents, Austin and Lillie Stone; her husband, Dale; her brother, Hansford Stone; her sister, Sally and brother in law, Alison Bowden.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Keith Brooks (Cathy); her daughter, Kellie Carter (Mike); grandsons, Lane and Kaden Carter and great grandson, Trenton Dale Carter, all of Blevins; sister
in law, Jamie Stone of Sour Lake, TX; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who loved her.

Visitation and services will be Tuesday, October 17th,from 12:00 to 2:00pm, with the service following at 2:00pm, at Bells Chapel Church, Blevins, AR, with burial to follow at Marlbrook
Cemetery.
