Compared to last week: Feeder steers were unevenly steady over 500 lbs. 300-400 lbs were a few dollars cheaper with 400-500 lbs as much
as 10.00 higher. Feeder heifers 1.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady. Quality was average. There
were numerous light weight calves on offer. Buyers were very aggressive on cattle under500 lbs. The futures board continues to move lower
taking the heavier weight cattle down with it. Next week will be the last sale of the year. Supply included: 82% Feeder Cattle (53% Steers, 42%
Heifers, 6% Bulls); 17% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (75% Bred Cows, 25% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle
supply over 600 lbs was 15%.
