Hempstead County natives honored by Arkansas Business

LITTLE ROCK – Two Hempstead County natives are part of Arkansas Business’ Arkansas 250 Most Influential Leaders for 2023.

Hope native Julie DeWoody Greathouse of Little Rock is a litigation attorney and managing partner at PPGMR Law. She has been recognized on the list of Best Lawyers in America numerous times, Lawyer of the Year in Litigation award, Arkansas Bar Association Golden Gavel award for service, and numerous Arkansas Money & Politics Legal Elites awards.

Columbus native Jim Jackson of Little Rock’s Jackson Law Firm in 2021 was appointed by the Arkansas Supreme Court to serve on the Board of Law Examiners. Since beginning his firm in 2009, Jackson has recovered more than $45 million dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients. Previously he was appointed to serve as a special justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court by then Governor Mike Beebe.

Also recognized on the list is Jackson’s wife Lisa Ferrell of Little Rock, Founder & CEO of North Bluffs Development Corporation/Rockwater Marina, and Nashville native Nate Steel, Chief Compliance & Government Affairs Officer for Good Day Farm-Arkansas.
