Misti Lenee Avery, 34, passed away on February 15, 2024, in Denver, Colorado.

Misti was born on September 4, 1989, in Texarkana, Texas, to Todd Avery and Lisa Hulan.  Misti’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and selflessness. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology/Criminology.  Misti’s heart overflowed with compassion. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether to a friend in need or a stranger she met along the way. Her kindness touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Misti is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Suzanne Hulan, great-aunt, Rosemary Lee, great-uncle, Wally Hulan, and stepfather, DJ Dougan.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Todd Avery and Lisa Dougan, both of Prescott; stepmother, Jennifer Johnson of Prescott; two daughters: Kinsley Chavis of Benton and Natalie Logan of Sherwood; three sisters: Lauren Smith (Ben) of Springdale, Megan Avery of Prescott, and Raegan Dougan of Stillwater, Oklahoma; four brothers: Alex Dougan of Fayetteville, Brady Dougan (Madison) of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Garrett Avery and Will Avery, both of Prescott; paternal grandparents, Chester and Jean Avery of Prescott; maternal grandfather, James Hulan of Prescott; one nephew, Owen Smith and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Misti’s life will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Midway Methodist Church in Prescott. Following the service, interment of ashes will be held at Midway Methodist Church.
