Arkansas Votes, the District 88 State Rep Race Is Headed Towards A Runoff As Is the District 38 Judges Race

In final but unofficial results, Incumbent District 3 State Senator Steve Crowell bested challenger Mark Silvey in Hempstead County 1,228 to 589.  In a close race in the District 88 State Representative race, Arnetta Bradford polled 1,025 in Hempstead County compared to 943 for Dolly Henley.  Henley took Howard County 376  to 355 for Bradford.  Final unofficial numbers for the two counties are 1,380 for Bradford and 1,319 for Dolly Henley.  Also in that race Robert Leslie Bradford of Howard County polled 56 votes in Howard County and 159 in Hempstead County.  Those 215 votes meant neither Arnetta Bradford nor Dolly Henley received 50% of the vote so Arnetta Bradford and Dolly Henley will meet in a runoff on April 2nd according to Hempstead County Clerk Karen Smith.

In the District 38 District Judges Race, Dana Stone polled 1,058 in Hempstead County.  Bryce Montgomery polled 840 votes, Angi Taylor polled 557, and Ashley Tolleson Moritz polled 172 voted.  In Nevada County, Dana Stone polled 522 votes, Bryce Montgomery polled 249, Angi Taylor polled 246, and Ashley Tolleson Moritz polled 42.  Stone and Montgomery will be on the ballot in November to determine the winner of that race.

In Hempstead County in the Zone 5 school board race for Hope, challenger Bill Hoglund apparently defeated incumbent Linda Haynes 158 to 144.  In another Hempstead County school race for Mineral Springs Zone 3, Kay Thornton took that seat with 24 votes compared to 7 for Ricky Gamble and 5 for Nikita N. Hopkins.

In Nevada County Races, James Roy Cornelius took the JP District 12 seat with 12 votes to 1 for Shane Horn.  In the JP District 7 race, Kenneth Bailey took 35 votes with 33 going to Regina Irizarry and Judy Meyer taking 24.

In the race for Prescott City Council Ward 3 Position 2, Michael Williams got 63 votes, but Carla Haynie retained her seat with 106  For Ward 4 Position one on the Prescott council, Tony Gillard will be the new councilman receiving 13 votes. Susie Meeks got nine and Karla Smith managed five.

In Hempstead County in the Garland Constable’s race, Randall Hatfield took 34 votes compared to 18 for William Cole.
