HPD charge five with felonies

On Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at approximately 1:05pm, Detectives with the Hope Police Department arrested Steven Clark, 22 of Hope, AR. Mr. Clark was arrested in the 400 block of S.
Washington Street and charged with Theft of Property. Mr. Clark was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility, pending a first court appearance.

Department arrested Rajhan Gantt, 22 of Little Rock, AR. Mr. Gantt was arrested in the 400 block of S. Washington Street and charged with Forgery 2nd Degree (2 counts). Mr. Gantt was
held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility, pending a first court appearance.

 


On Thursday, March 7th, 2024, at approximately 9:15am, Officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Raylon Pennington, 36 of Hope, AR. Mr. Pennington was arrested in the
600 block of Glenn Street and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Drug Premises. Mr. Pennington
was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.

On Friday, March 8th, 2024, at approximately 12:45pm, Officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Whitney English, 37 of Hope, AR. Ms. English was arrested in the 1200 block of N. Bell Street and charged with Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree and Communicating a False Alarm. Ms. English was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility, pending a first court appearance.

 


On Sunday, March 10th, 2024, at approximately 7:45pm, Officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Carolyn Laughard, 66 of Hope, AR. Ms. Laughard was arrested in the 500 block of S. Laurel Street and charged with Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. Ms. Laughard was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where she was held pending a first court appearance.
