Trio arrested on felony charges

On Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at approximately 12:06pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested John Fortenberry, 43 of Hope. Fortenberry was arrested in the 400 block of S. Washington Street and charged with Theft of Property.  Fortenberry was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility, pending a first court appearance.

 

On Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at approximately 8:37pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Ruthina Thomas, 47 of Hope. Thomas was arrested in the 1300 block of E. 3rd Street and charged with Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree. Thomas was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility, pending a first court appearance.

On Thursday, March 21st, 2024, at approximately 12:25am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Timothy Martin, 35 of Hope. Martin was arrested in the 1500 block of Lee Avenue and charged with Failure to Register Sex Offender. Martin was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility, pending a first court appearance.
