Glenn Woodruff, 69, of Hope

Glenn Lee Woodruff, age 69, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Texarkana, Texas where he was surrounded by family and loved ones. Glenn was born January 28, 1955, to Noel (Woody) and Wanda Madson Woodruff in Long Beach, California. When Glenn was 5, Woody moved the family back to his hometown of Harrison, AR, where Glenn grew up. He was a member of Calvary Baptist church, where he taught Sunday School. He was also active in his community by being a former President and member of the Hope Chamber of Commerce, member of the Lions Club, member of the Gideons and helped run United Way events. His love of bluegrass music was shown through playing with the Hempstead County Melody Boys and other small-town groups. He loved to go duck and turkey hunting and trout fishing with his daughter, Jillian. Most importantly he loved to spend time with friends and family always telling jokes and making everyone’s day brighter.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Glenn is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tammy Hickey Woodruff, one daughter Jillian Woodruff, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harry and Cathy Hickey of Hope, Arkansas, and a sister by love, Grace Kirkpatrick and husband Terry of Emmet, Arkansas, as well as a host of friends who were his adopted family.

The visitation will be Tuesday, April 16th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 17th at 2:00pm in the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel with burial to follow.
