The Hope Civitan Club recently heard from Pam Edmondson of Spectrum of Light Support Group, organized to provide support for parents and caregivers of individuals on the Autism spectrum.  “Spectrum of Light helps provide parents/caregivers with resources to assist them in giving their autistic family member(s) the very best care and support they can in order to assist them in becoming a productive individual in their community,” according to a handout provided at the meeting.

Edmondson, pictured at left with Civitan President Mona Still, also informed the group of a 5K: Racing for Autism Awareness fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, April 20.  Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at 218 E. 16th Street in Hope and the race starts at 7:30 a.m.  For more information on the fundraiser or the Spectrum of Light Support Group, contact Edmondson at 870-602-1124.
