PRESCOTT – Members of the Prescott Lions Club were on hand at the Potlatch Building Thursday for an appreciation dinner for first responders in the county.

The dinner, consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies and a drink, was to show those who put their lives on the line their efforts aren’t forgotten and the work they do is greatly appreciated. The dinner was for members of law enforcement, fire departments, the Nevada County Rescue Unit and Pafford Ambulance Service. However, the crowd was smaller than expected, but those who attended were well fed and enjoyed having time to talk to one another.

In years past, the Lions have held fish fries for first responders.
