Compared to last week: Feeder steers 5.00-15.00 higher with lighter weights as much as 20.00-25.00 higher. Feeder heifers 5.00-15.00
higher. Slaughter cows 2.00-5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 lower. The market on calves was a ball of fire. Buyers were very
aggressive on the lighter weights. Recent drops in the futures trade and lighter receipts didn’t dampen the market at all today. Quality was
average. Supply included: 84% Feeder Cattle (49% Steers, 43% Heifers, 9% Bulls); 13% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 3%
Replacement Cattle (67% Bred Cows, 33% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 16%.
