Spring Fling fun for all

PRESCOTT – Saturday dawned bright and warm, a perfect day for a Spring Fling.

The Nevada County Fairgrounds were packed with booths and tents with different games and events, along with plenty of information. Bounce houses were there for children to play to their heart’s content. Inside the Potlatch Building, where folks went to cool off, was a live auction with cakes and pies, along with a concession stand with hot dogs, chips and water to help the youngsters refuel and cool off.

The Fairhills Extension Homemaker Club was on hand with cookies and bubbles, along with information about the club. The Nevada County Health Unit had a table featuring services offered by the Arkansas Department of Health, along with health screenings. However, the children opted to visit the face painting booth, a ring toss game where they won candy, a treasure hunting booth where they got to dig through sand and find hidden items, along with a dart game. All the youngsters had a good time getting ready for the end of school, while the adults tended to spend some quality time inside with the air conditioning and getting info from the different booths.
