Former Hempstead County Sheriff Don Worthy Passes
By Mark Keith, 05/21/24 9:48 PMRetired Hempstead County Sheriff Donald “Don” Worthey, age 87, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Hope. Worthy served as Hempstead County Sheriff in the 1980’s and early 1990’s.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, 9:00am at the Hope Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 10:00am with Bro. Marshall Almarode officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
