Shooting suspect turns self in

HOPE – On Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, Marcus Floyd Jr. turned himself into detectives at the Hope Police Department. Floyd was wanted for charges stemming from the July 14th, 2024 shooting incident in the 400 block of South Elm Street.
Floyd was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility to await a first court appearance on the charges of Battery 1st Degree, Terroristic Act, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm from a
Vehicle and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.
