Prescott native completes 34-year career with Magnolia bank

Sarah Williams, senior vice president and loan officer, has left Peoples Bank effective Friday, August 2, 2024.

MAGNOLIA – Sarah Williams, senior vice president and loan officer, has left Peoples Bank effective Friday, August 2, 2024. She started her banking career at Peoples Bank in September 1990.

In addition to her current position, she served on the bank’s Personnel Committee. She is a former Golden Oaks branch manager and was named Peoples Bank “Banker of the Year” in 2008. She is a native of Prescott and a graduate of Prescott High School. She earned an associate’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope and obtained the Arkansas Bankers Association Continuing Profession Education Certificate

“We owe much of our success to Sarah Williams. For 34 years, she has been a key member of our team. She has been a role model not only in banking, but in life. She showed care and compassion for her customers and co-workers daily. We will miss seeing her every day, but she will always be a member of our Peoples Bank family,” said Mary Fowler, CEO.

Active in her community, Williams has served as the Peoples Bank Relay for Life captain and Today’s Youth Tomorrows Leaders co-chairman. She also volunteers at the Magnolia Blossom Festival and is a Leadership Magnolia Alumni Association member.

Williams is a member of Harvest Time COGIC Church of Magnolia where her husband, Michael Williams, is the pastor. The Williams’ have three children, Takeema, Rod and TaLara, and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, traveling, listening to music and watching sports.
