Search warrant leads to arrest

HOPE – This morning (Thursday) at approximately 8:20 am, officers with the Hope Police Department, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, 8th North Task Force and Agents from Arkansas Community Corrections Special Response Team, executed a search warrant in the 200 block of North Andres Street. Arrested as a result of the search warrant was Davis J. Purifoy, 48, of Hope.

Purifoy was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (methamphetamine), Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Unlawful use of a Communication Device, Proximity to Certain Facilities, Maintaining a Drug Premises and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, (methamphetamine.)
