Gary built countless friendships through his passion for fast cars—especially those “Built Ford Tough”—burning barrel conversations with a cold drink in hand and a Winston 100 between his fingers. Known for always having a Mustang prepped and ready for the track, Gary’s love for speed was matched only by his commitment to his family.

A hardworking man, Gary worked tirelessly from sunup to sundown to provide for those he loved. Over the years, he was employed at Hope Iron & Metal, Carpet Cushion, and Southern Bakeries, from which he retired in 2017.

He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry, 1st Battalion, Company J.
