Prescott blanks Hope in Friday night football
PRESCOTT – The Prescott Curley Wolves defeated the Hope Bobcats 49-0 in high school football Friday night at Eddie Jackson Field.
Curley Wolves scoring started with a Prater touchdown run at the 4:25 mark in the first quarter and the point after was good. K.J. Page uncorked a 53-yard touchdown at 10:03 in the 2nd quarter. Prater scored again on a run at 6:36 in the 2nd quarter, then at the 5:10 mark returned a punt for a 65-yard touchdown. Prater then threw a 15-yard pass for a touchdown to Pat Cook to close-out scoring and take a 35-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Prater connected with M. Brownlee on a 20-yard touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter. Stockton was credited for a 20-yard pass in the 4th quarter to Pat Bond for the final 49-0 margin.
