Jackie Nell Lucas, 83, of El Dorado

Jackie Nell Lucas 83, of El Dorado, formerly of Bryant, Arkansas passed away peacefully at Hudson Memorial Nursing home on September 12, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Doyle Lucas, Her parents Rance and Mozelle Gill, brother Norman Gill, and two sons, Steve Lucas Sr, and Andy Lucas. One beloved nephew James Chamlee.

Jackie is survived by her sister Carolyn Cullins of Alexander. Jackie had one daughter Cherrie Wilson (Danny) of Prescott. One son Johnny Lucas (Susan) of Clinton. Two grandsons Steve Lucas Jr. (Jasmine) of Bryant, Mason and Colton. Seth Lucas (Laci) of Bryant, Summer and Layla. And One granddaughter Katy (Adam) Willett, their children, Pierce, Elliott, Addison, and Audrey of Eldorado

Jackie was many things, a cook, a mother, and friend, but nothing fulfilled her as much as being a great grandmother, to Elliott, Pierce, Addison and Audrey.

Jackie loved to fight for the underdog, and the outcast. She believed in second chances and gave them often. Jackie loved to take trips and enjoyed singing in the choir at Geyer Springs Baptist Church. Jackie was a homemaker and mother for several years, before working and later retiring from the United States Postal Service. Jackie loved a good reason for a new outfit, or matching jewelry and was rarely seen without it. Jackie loved Elvis Presley, square dancing, and channel 7 news. She was most famous in her family for her world-renowned spaghetti and loved serving it to her family.

Jackie will lovingly be remembered by her grandchildren as “Mimi” and all the fun, and laughter they had together.

The family would like to thank Hudson Memorial Nursing Home and Gentiva Hospice for their great care and service to her in her final days.

Funeral Services were held Saturday September 14th at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Prescott under the direction of Adam Willett and Mike Puckett.

Interment followed at Piney Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Side Christian School, El Dorado, AR.
