Taste of Hope Set for Saturday

Mark your calendars and join the Hope Downtown Network for an evening full of family friendly fun on Saturday, October 5, from 5 until 8 pm. This year’s theme is spotlighting diners and drive-ins from Hope’s past. Come hungry and ready to sample food from Hope’s finest restaurants and cast your vote for best appetizer, entree, dessert, and best overall. Along with sampling wonderful food, guests can participate in various activities including Bingo, A Paint-by-Number Mural, fun games, including mini-golf and horseshoes. Bring your dancing shoes and join the fun in a 50s and 60s style street dance and stay for a movie and cartoons in the pocket park. It is rumored that Elvis can be seen wandering the streets of downtown Hope. There will be something for all ages, so make plans to come and help support downtown Hope. Proceeds will be used for the next Hope Downtown Network project which will be voted on by participants at the Taste of Hope. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12, and ages 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at Vintage Girls Boutique downtown next to Tailgaters and from Elm Street Marketplace and Bob‘s Antiques. Tickets are also available online at hopedowntownnetwork.org.
Beckie Moore is shown here promoting “A Taste of Hope” recently for the Hope Kiwanis Club.
