Fall Festival Set for October 12th in Prescott

The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Fall Festival on October 12th. The event will run from 9am until 4pm. One event that brings a lot of excitement is the search for the golden pumpkin. The first golden pumpkin clue award is announced at 9:30am with the second at 11:30am, the third at 2pm, and the fourth at 3pm.
The Dancetastics dance studio will perform at 10am.  There will be a Calvin Brown Memorial basketball shoot-out starting at 10:30am. There will be cash prizes at this event. At 11am, a cornhole tournament will start with a $30 entrance fee and a total of $350 cash prizes. This includes a six-game guarantee and double elimination.
At 11:45am there will be a one-mile kids bicycle ride. Parents are encouraged to walk or ride along. At 1pm, “Soular”, a fun, upbeat band will perform.  At 2pm is the husband and kid calling contest. There is a $25 prize for the kid and a $100 prize for the wife who wins the contest. At 3pm there will be a pageant for ages infant to 9 on the courthouse steps. The pageant has a $20 entrance fee. At 4pm the raffle winner of a rifle will be announced. Tickets cost $5 each or 5 for $20.
