Curry’s Community Outreach Hosts Chamber Coffee in Prescott

Curry’s Community Outreach held a community coffee on Tuesday (1-7).There was a good turnout for the event which included a slideshow about the ministry. There was also fruit, crackers, rolled meat, and sandwiches to snack upon. The slide show demonstrated both the history of the organization and what they do. The activities have included a back-to-school event, the Christmas toy giveaway, community meals, mental health, and the warming shelter. That building had to be substantially renovated.

Ivory Curry talked about his belief in keeping things local with charity dollars spent here rather than sent elsewhere. Feeding people and making sure that mental health is properly addressed are issues he cares strongly about.
