Roderick Mitchell Powell

Roderick Mitchell Powell, aged 91, passed away on February 2, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1933, to Clifford and Dolly Formby Powell in Patmos, Arkansas. Roderick was a devoted Razorback fan and served as a Deacon at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, where he also taught Sunday school and was song director.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Wanda Powell, and his brother Lindy Powell.

Roderick is survived by his two daughters, Pam Bobo of Hope and Paige Bobo of Hot Springs; his three brothers, Rondale Powell, Hillary Powell, and Vernice Powell, all of Patmos; and his sister, Nancy Dean of Stamps. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Brandee McCaslin (Mark) of Little Rock, Mitch Bobo (Jill) of Hot Springs, Misti Dixon (Chris) of Arkadelphia, and Brian Bobo (Carrie) of Hope. His legacy continues with his seven great-grandchildren: Mason and May McCaslin, Addison, Britann, Lydia, and Julia Bobo, and Sawyer Dixon, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00 am on Tuesday February 4, 2025, at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Burial will follow.
