Hope ConneXion Outreach Center to Open as Warming Center Tuesday Evening through Friday Morning, Feb. 18-21 7 PM to 7 AM
HOPE, Arkansas, 18 February 2025
– Due to inclement forecasted weather, extreme cold, freezing rain / snow mix, and medium to
high winds, the Hope ConneXion Outreach Center in Hope, Arkansas will be open to the public
as a warming center for the next few evenings.
– A warming center is a safe, nighttime, emergency shelter that operates when temperatures in an
area become dangerously low, serving stranded travelers, displaced renters, homeowners, and
unsheltered homeless people. We will also continue to serve as an Outreach Center with our
normal winter hours (Tuesday – Saturday 10 AM – 5 PM) for additional needs.
– Tonight, and for the next few days we realize it is just too cold for us to allow people to be out
in the cold! If you know anyone in need, in Hempstead, County, living housing adjacent (either
rough, in a trap / squat house without heat or other utilities), please bring them to the Hope
ConneXion Outreach Center.
– We have a shower for public use, heat, water, coffee, and a few snacks, knowing our
volunteers, there will probably be other donated food as well.
– If you need more information about the Warming Center, please visit the Hope ConneXion
website, https://www.hopeconnexion.org/cooling–warming-center.html.
