Nevada County Quorum Court

The Nevada County Quorum Court met on Tuesday (3-11). There were representatives from Farmer’s Bank and the Bank of Delight at the Court to speak about accounts they have. The Court decided to table the decision as to which one to bank with.

Justice of the Peace Regina Irizarry presented the idea to create a capital improvements plan for the county. If the sales tax passes, a certain percentage of the tax will be dedicated to the capital improvement plan. The other JP’s approved the proposal to create a capital improvement plan.

The first public marketing meeting for the sales tax will be Friday (3-14) at the courthouse at 1:30pm.

The meeting then adjourned.
