Pafford Medical Services acquired Baptist Ambulance in Clark County

HOPE – Pafford Medical Services has announced it has acquired Baptist Ambulance, allowing the Hope-based company to now provide emergency medical services to Arkadelphia and all of Clark County.

“As a family-owned company rooted in Arkansas, we believe in becoming deeply ingrained in the communities we serve. That means more than just responding to emergencies—it means hiring local EMTs and paramedics, showing up for community events, supporting area organizations, and being an active, reliable part of the daily life and well-being of Clark County,” the company said in a statement. ” We are committed to maintaining high-quality ambulance service in the area—and enhancing it with three fully staffed 24-hour ALS ambulances to ensure fast, dependable care when you need it most. It is truly our honor to serve in this capacity. We look forward to earning your trust and continuing to make the #PaffordDifference right here in Clark County.”

Founded in 1967, Pafford Medical Services is a family-owned and operated EMS organization.  The company currently has approximately 900 full and part-time employees that staff more than 120 ambulances, three helicopters, three fixed wing aircraft, two state of the art communications centers, and one billing center across a four-state region.

In 2024, in an effort to prevent closure of the local Hope hospital, Pafford Medical Services joined forces with the City of Hope and Hempstead County to ensure stability of the facility by acquiring the Wadley Regional Hospital in Hope from the bankrupt Steward Health Care.
