Robert Lee “AJ” Archie, Jr. departed this earthly life on March 31, 2025. He was born January 8, 1963, to the union of the late Robert Lee Archie, Sr and Lessie B. Watson (Richardson) in Texarkana, AR. Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Archie, Sr. and brother, Ronnie Lee Flowers, along with his paternal and maternal grandparents. Robert is survived by his wife of 24 years, Georgia Marie Archie, mother, Lessie B. Richardson, sister, Barbara Mack, and two stepchildren, Sergio Martinez and Angelica Martinez-Archie. Robert also leaves behind 9 grandchildren to cherish his memory: Alana, Nevaeh, Camille, Ayden, Elissa, Nyla, Quinn Jr, Navi, and Gianna. Robert also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and beloved friends.
Known as “Smoke” to many, Robert never met a stranger. He attended Arkansas High School. Robert worked as a general laborer, most notably working for SMI Joist as a Welder, Tyson, and Anthony Lumber Yard as a forklift operator, before retiring around 2017. He could make people laugh until they had tears in their eyes but also knew how to bring great comfort to those around him. Robert loved to cook, fish, ride four wheelers, watch football, and entertain his family. When he wasn’t being the life of the party or beating someone in a game of dominoes, you would find him kicked back in his recliner reading an old romance novel or watching a good movie. Though Robert has departed to his Heavenly home, Robert’s loss will be felt forever by those who loved him.
