Upcoming events in Prescott include the introduction of the new Prescott school superintendent during the Monday night (4-13) school board meeting at 7:30pm and a retirement party for Emmet Mayor Dale Brooker at the Prescott/Nevada County public library on Tuesday from 9:30-11.
The Easter Egg Hunt was rescheduled to be held on Friday April 18th at the City Park.  4-H and the county extension office have events running from April to July. For 4-H events, one needs to be a member. There is still time to sign up. The first 4-H event is the county barbecue poultry competition on April 26th. This is followed by a county o’rama May 16th, district poultry competition May 22nd, 4-H district o’rama June 10th, and 4-H state o’rama July 21st through 24th.
Nevada County Summer Days start on May 30th with White Oak Lake day followed by craft day on June 13th, a leather workshop on June 26th, canning day on June 11th and soap making on July 17th.
