Blevins School Board

The Bevins City Council met on Monday (4-14).  The meeting was kicked off with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.  The last meeting’s minutes were reviewed.

The current financial report was discussed.  One of the board members brought up that there is a chance of losing kids to different schools and homeschooling.  He also mentioned the school needed to get the student’s grades up.  As a response, another board member stated that Blevins took a big hit from COVID-19.
New business was discussed which encompasses the 2025/2026 calendar.  August 11th is the first day of school and faculty is required to come in a week before.  A motion was made and passed to accept the new business agenda.
Faculty pay was discussed.  Summer workers were discussed.  The summer worker will be doing maintenance around the school.  A motion was made and passed to hire one worker.
The board went into executive session.  After reconvening, the board approved a list of employees to be rehired.  The meeting then adjourned.
